It remains the only railroad station situated inside a hotel and casino in the world. Today passenger and freight trains still use the site at the Plaza as a transportation terminal.

At Main and Fremont Street the Plaza Hotel Las Vegas stands tall and inviting, complete with a long history, on the original site of the Union Pacific railroad depot. The Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas is located in downtown and has been operating for almost four decades.
